scared...tech. does not see sac or baby

i went to the doctor yesterday after too positive test. We calculated that I was probably about 7 weeks by last cycle nov.7. Since my actual last cycle in December was irregular, it came 9 days early and was light ... doctor gave me a urine test, and it was positive, and an exam and ultrasound, tech stated that she did not see baby or sac. Doctor then said that uterus was too firm and not open enough for 7 weeks, and order hcg and progestrone test. Took the test and I have to go back again for Tuesday. To evaluate the levels. I am scared. he stated that he will look at the numbers and find out where the pregnancy is if not in the uterus. I'm scared. First child.

yes, Every pregnancy is different. Our doc couldn't see mine untill 10 weeks. He did the first ultrasound on week 6 and assumed it may be too early. again it's different from person to person and from peg to preg.

a similar thing happened to me too you are probably just off on the dates and its too early to see anything. no worries. you'll more than likely be able to see a sac in a week or two...dont be alarmed if you dont see a baby though. if you are say 3 or 4 weeks pregnant then a baby wont be seen at 5 and possibly not even at 6...we didn't see ours until 7 weeks.

They told me last Tuesday that levels looked good, and I am scheduled for sonogram on Tuesday. Will keep you posted.

The nurse told me that my beta hcg level was 1024 and progestrone was 18. Initially, it looks good but need Tuesday's test for comparison. After setting down with my husband, I am thinking since I had menstraual dates of Nov.7 and Nov. 29...I might be just not as far as I calculated...well, I'm just praying right now. Eventhough, we haven't been trying that long, I just want to have a healthy uncomplicated pregnancy.

Do you know when you ovulated?  Or when you concieved?
Maybe you ovulated late and you are earlier along than you think?  If that the case going off of your last period for estimation would be inaccurate.  That has happend to me before.  You wouldn't be able to see anything on ultrasound if you are earlier along (not until you are about 5 weeks for a sac and 6 weeks for a heartbeat).  Your doctor will probably check your hcg a couple of times if the levels are lower and doubling like they are suppose to you are probably just earlier than you thought.  If they are not doubling then it could be a problem with the pregnancy.  In the meantime, unless you are having pain (in your side or otherwise) spotting/bleeding try not to worry.  If you do go to the ER right away.  Good luck to you and let us know!

you might not be as far on as 7 weeks if your af was irregular it might just be to early to see anything yet try and not worry about it i think everything will be fine
