Welcoming Shain Carson!!!
On 12-21-13 4:38 am 8lbs 3oz and 19inches long!!
Went to hospital on the 20th
Labor story:
The night before i went to the hospital had some contractions that were about 15-10 minutes apart but they weren't painful until after midnight back labor started and got up at 4am when they were a little more uncomfortable and I timed them about 6-5 minutes apart. Got to the hospital and was 3cm dilated and 75%effaced.
They kept me in the hospital so I went pain med free for a while until about 4-5cm along and had IV medication just to take the edge off. By the time they put me on IV meds I took the epidural anyway at 6cm and other pain meds in IV. I got sick off the meds twice because i probably took in too many fluids at once. It took me 4hours to get from 6cm to 9cm and they decided to take me off of it because I couldn't get the last half centimeter but I was still comfortable yet from the epidural. I had a 100.9 fever while I was waiting for the half cm and while I was pushing for 1-2hrs.
Not sure what brought my temp up but they controlled it. I know I'm a FTM but after hearing horror stories about labor and delivery mine was a breeze. I never tore either, just a little lesion from the catheter and maybe some stretching there. If I would do the labor and delivery again I would do it in a heart beat

Congrats! He 5oz lighter then my son when he was born he will be 4 weeks old thursday...though i wish i could also say i didnt tear but i did but it was worth it. Again congrats!
