What to do with my daughtet when i go into labour??

Im really worried about whats gona happen when i go in to labour. my daughter is 2 & a half. my mum gets pissed every night and can sleep through anything. plus shes never done ellas nappy since she was born... so if im at hospital for ages and ella does a massive poo or just generally needs a bum change i doubt my mum will do it.. shed just let her sit in her own poo till we got back. im trying to get her poty trained but shes not taking to it at all... my bfs family all live miles miles away so wont be able to get here. and as for friends i only have 1 friend im comfortable leaving with my child. but she works ill 10pm and she lives quite abit away from us.. only way for her to get here would be her bf giving her a lift on his motorbike.. but he works nights and sleeps through the day... she could get bus here but thats like 2&half hours on buses. or train but if middle of night then trains dont run... if baby comes during the day then my aunty is at work... if at night its hard for someone to get here... weve only lived here since end of november so we havnt got any friends here yet that we can leave her with.. i just wish i new when baby was coming so i could plan a sitter but as babys come when they want to its hard to figure it out. i really dont want my OH to miss the birth and i dont want ella to see me in so much pain... Anyone else worrying about this too? Or gone through it and figured it out last minute? :-/

Oops,  sorry I thought you were in Plano.  I must have been thinking of someone else here . . .

You may get induced at the end so you may have a little time to plan.

You could sign her up at a drop in day care center (I googled them and Plano has several) where you can drop her for a few hours while your friend/aunt/boyfriend's family come in to town.

This is a priority thing - it's not like you're asking for child care so you can go get your hair cut,  and those who are close to you will probably be willing to go  to some effort to do this.

Best wishes -

No i am a lonely child and his brother lives hours and hours up the country... i have my friends as the main person ive asked and she will do whatever she can to get here. as for backups.. i only have my mum or aunty.. but like i said my mum isnt the best as id be worried the whole time and my aunty doesnt drive and works everyday... it would be simple if babys had a time and date and came at that time lol...

Neither of u have brothers or sisters to watch her?? I'm having the hubby's sister watch our son when I go into labor. Unless she's at work that night then it'll have to be my grandmother

meatball,  you need to have several people lined up - because it's likely that when you go into labor,  someone will be out of town,  or sick,  or have some huge commitment they can't get out of,  etc.

You can probably leave your child with your mom for long enough for your friend/relative whose going to do the actual caretaking to arrive.

Watching someone's baby while the mom is in labor is a commitment and an honor.  I would think whoever is special enough to you for you to ask would take the commitment seriously and a few hours driving time or taking a day off work won't take priority.
