When and what brand to test with?

Hey everyone... well... I am due for my period on july 7, and I broke down and tested yesterday. It was a BFN. I used answer brand hpt. I was wondering if I tested to early maybe... and when and if I do test again... should I use any certain brand. Has anyone used the answer hpts? Thanks in advance!!

I tested with First Resonse Early Response at 11 DPO (3 days before my period was to arrive) and I got a faint BFP - and then I tested the next day and it was darker, but not much.  I then caved and bought a digital and it popped up pregnant on the day I was supposed to get my period.   Good luck!

I tested with Clearblue (not digital but the test upt o 5 days early one) 3 days before AF was due and it was a FAINT positive and then a Clearblue digital said NOT PREGNANT.  Then I tested with those same exact tests one day after AF was due, got a plus sign right away and a PREGNANT.  So I would test either the day or day after AF is due, because even if you read those percentages about testing at 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 days the chances of getting a better result are closer to AF.  Also, my hcg was 180 2 days after AF was due, so my levels were barely up there the day I got the FAINT positive - so if you are pg the levels might be too low.  Good Luck!
