When will I get an ultrasound

I am currently 7 weeks and my first prenatal apointment is tomorrow. I was excited because I thought I would be getting my first ultra sound but turns out I'm not, the nurse said because I know when my last period was and I have no problems so far that there is no need for it.

When should I be expecting first ultrasound? I'm extremely anxious

I'm in NY and my first ultrasound was to date and comfirm a viable pregnancy, and I was 7 weeks 1 day. They did make me wait a couple weeks between the pee stick test they did on me, probably because it would have been too early to see anything on ultrasound. They had me come back in later for one and blood tests to date it and make sure all was well.

I had another at 10 weeks 5 days at the ER because I was bleeding. Diagnosed with a threatened miscarriage but well, she's two now lol.

My next official ultrasound was the 20 week one, at 19 weeks 6 days. That's the anatomy scan.

Then I had one at 36 weeks, and they did that one to estimate the size, see if baby was head down, etc.

I was seeing an OBGYN who did not have an ultrasound machine in the office, so I had to book appointments elsewhere for them a couple weeks ahead of time. It seemed to be the practice policy to do then at those times, but I had Medicaid if that makes a difference or helps.

I'm in Texas and I got my first one at 7 weeks and currently 11 weeks. With my last pregnancy I got one at 6 weeks,18 weeks, and again at 20 because they couldn't see all of the anatomy at 18 weeks. I had another at 24 weeks and was told I would have one more at 32 weeks but had my baby prematurely will probably have more this time due to being high risk.

I got my first at 6 weeks to confirm pregnancy and how far along. Then 12 weeks, then every 2 weeks because i was a little bit of higher risk. Now with my 2nd pregnancy, i didnt find out i was pregnant until 26 weeks, got ultrasound then, found out gender, and every two weeks i get another ultrasound. 31 weeks this friday, not scheduled for another appt until the 30th, but have been having braxton hicks and i felt to see if my crrvix was opening and felt babies head, so going to call my dr tomorrow for a check up appt.

I got my first ultrasound at my first appointment which was 6w 2d. Going off my period I thought I was 7w 1d but that ultra sound showed I wasnt. The earlier you do an ultra sound the more accurate of a due date you have. I am suprised that they would wait but it probably does have to do with insurance I guess.

I got my first ultrasound at 11 weeks & my second at 20 weeks. I also live in the united States in Pennsylvania. Most likely you will get you first ultra sound when the babys heart starts to beat which is at 11 weeks. Good luck

I think in America it depends on what your insurance will pay for.  Some only pay for 1 and that usually happens around 20w.  Others seem to pay for 1 ever month. You'd need to check your coverage.
