"pregnant" for 8.5 weeks

I took found out I was pregnant about a month ago. I had missed a couple periods so were not sure how far along I was. SO my doctor sent me in to get an u/s the sack measured at 6weeks 1 day, they saw no heart beat or baby. So they sent me in for another 9 days later- I measured at 6weeks and 5 days. They wanted to be sure my HCG levels were rising so they did a blood test on the following tuesday and then followed up that next friday and the level had stayed the same. They were concerned the pregnancy was not viable. So now they sent me in today a 19 days after the first u/s and I measured at 6weeks 6days.
I have been pretty certain this last week that it was not viable so I am handling it fine. I am just ready to be pregnant and wondering why I have not miscarried the last 19 days since it is not growing....?

Sounds like a missed miscarriage. It's where the baby stops development, but your body doesn't recognize that it's happened and doesn't expel the tissue. It might happen in a few weeks/days, or you'll have to go in for a d&c.

I agree with Clysta. Sometimes your body doesn't realize it isn't viable which is called a missed miscarriage. When that happens they can give you a medication or do a D&C depending. Hopefully if it is a miscarriage your body will realize it and things will naturally take it's course. I'm so sorry
