Worried, 10 weeks preg and still no prenatal visit

I am almost 11 weeks pregnant and have yet to have my first prenatal appt, I had a ultrasound at 8 weeks from a free pregnancy clinic where i confirmed my pregnancy but other then that I have had no pretnatal visits, havent had my hcg checked or any of the other tests i know they do in early pregnancy. This is my first pregnancy and i couldnt get an appt until the 29th due to insurance problems of getting my card and stuff from them, It worries me, I have had cramps on and off for the last 3 days, never severe just uncomfortable, like like menstrual cramps. No bleeding at all either. Am i just over worried? again?

Most OBs will not see their patients until 12 weeks. It just depends on the practice! And the only women who get HCG checks are the ones with problems or who've had previous miscarriages. If you had a good sonogram and saw the heartbeat there is no reason to do the HCG tests.

And cramping is normal. It is the uterus growing!

Thanks girls for the reassurement, the waiting is driving me nuts on top of the every day stresses of things. I'm trying to stay as stress free as possible but with my biological father coming into town and seeing him for the first time in 4 years and my step son is teething its been tough lol. Yeah i think i will call today and atleast check if they've had any cancellations for something sooner. I dont have my hops up for that though because they are only one of the two places in my entire town that take medicaid and another part of the reason why i couldnt get an appt for so long

I didn't have my first prenatal appointment until I was almost 13 weeks. I was 12w 4d to be exact. All they did was take my medical history, some blood, did a pelvic exam and listened for the heart beat. I won't be having my first ultrasound until i'm 20 weeks. It will be my only ultrasound, as my doctor only performs one the entire pregnancy.

at my clinc they wount see you before 10 weeks and even then its a pain to get an appointment usually schedulaing as far as 4 weeks out. I  have 4 kids and I have never had an appointment befor 10 weeks. I have never been told what my hcg was/is although I know I have had it checked I just never knew what it was like alot of woman on this site.
I would try not to worry if you cant get in for a few weeks. Also cramping in early pregnancy is very common.  Unless you are camping really bad and bleeding its normal. You could always try calling the clinic and asking if they have any cancelations and let them know you would like to get in if they do. You might have to call on a daily basis and have them check everyday. Pretty soon something will open up, that is if you cant wait:~)
Good luck!!

You should usually have your first Pre natal appt with a midwife idealy between 8-10 weeks, but sometimes it is delayed for different reasons!! i was given my 1st appt when i would have been 11 weeks bt i rang to make an earlier one as i thought it was a little late!!.....pains are totally normal during pregnancy only be worried if they are accompanied by bleeding!!..... or if there cramping is very severe!! good luck
