Worries about miscarrige

Hi

I had two miscarriages last year; one in February and one in December. My partner and I have been trying again this year and I think we calculated my ovulation day accurately. I plan to do a test next week and hope that its good news!
I have just read on a different web site that its recommended not to have sex in your first trimester, especially when your period is due.
Is this correct? I am worried as my partner and I have carried on having sex and I would like to know before my due date next week. As you can understand I don't want any unnecessary risk.

Many Thanks        Kim

Hi , I'm responding as you asked . I guess sometimes you can't prevent a miscarriage .but other times you can have them cause your hormones are too low and that's where the prometrium (progesterone) comes in . I guess it's not always a good thing to take it and shouldn't be taken for very long . I have heard of alot of women taking it though . My doc after my miscarriage told me that next time I'm pregnant to call right away and we can start bloodwork . My was low but also very early . I am going back on monday for another test and hopefully levels are going up . ( That is soooo stressful) Then I was told originally to take prometrium and baby aspirin until we get  the ultrasound and see a strong heartbeat .  I was just giving you my doc's plan to give you an idea . Hope that helped a little .

Yeah they said that to me, don't do tests until the third 1 as apparently it's still quite common to have 2! Well I think I'll look into the sex thing a little more, and if no conclusion, think ill just give it a miss when my period would be due, only a few days after all, think he can wait that long lol :->
Congratulations on your good news, hopefully ill be joining you 4 sure next week! x

Hm, I didn't hear that one. I am 5 weeks and 2 days and the hubby and I have carried on as we always do (at least every 2-3 days) and no ill effects. Have you ever had testing done after the miscarraiges to see what was causing them. Sometimes they wait until the third one before they do.
