Xrays?

I just started going to a new dentist & I have a tooth that is bothering me she insisted I get it xrayed I told her I'm not supposed to and was told if they had to do them you wear led so i did it but now worried:/ should I be worried has any one else had a xray done while pregnant???

Im a RT student (Radioligic Technologist), and they teach us to always ask a woman if she thinks she might be pregnant because no matter how many lead vests they put you in you're gonna be exposed to radiation and the fetus is extremely sensitive to radiation. I would strongly suggest that you wait it out hun. Remember that the amount of radiation that they use for you is never the same for a baby, and he would get your amount. Good Luck hun! my dentist wouldnt do an x-ray on me.. he said id either have to have the tooth pulled or wait until I gave birth

I had a chest xray a couple weeks ago at 28 weeks and I was also worried but they assured me my son would not be affected

My Dentist refuses to xray a pregnant woman. Even with the apron there is still scatter radiation in the air and babies are so sensitive to them. I'm a RDA(registered dental assistant) so I feel strongly about it. Some dentists will do it regardless for the $$$ it brings but I would wait....

They just had one led cover on me I'm 15w2d and I had to have it done because of a over bite

Hey I had a xray done at 7weeks pregnant confirmed by my oB & im 17w now everything is fine, make sure they put at least 2 or 3 of the cover things they put on you that big heavy thing im sorry I don't know what there called, but I had to have 3 on the dentist said cause of how many weeks at the time I was.
