Sex at 38 weeks?

Will sex help with the progress I'm stuck at 2cm. Is it safe to do it ?

Thanks I'm a a little concerned I woke up this morning and heard a very loud pop I think my pelvic dislocated

I was 1cm dilated on my due date had a sweep then went home had sex and drank loads of raspberry leaf tea(cause it thins you out) and had contractions that night then my daughter was born two days later :)

Okay I'm still 2cm and 80% thinned out so I'm good to go

It's not really sex it's the semen that makes thinning and dilation happen. I was closed and wasn't thinned out at all ... Tried sex withoight him pull in out.  And ended up a cm dialated and 60% thinned out
