after birth

What happens to your tummy after you give birth? How does it feel? How does it look? Do you still need to wear maternity clothes? Does it gradually go down like how it gradually got bigger when pregnant.

Personally I lost 16 pounds instantly after my daughter came out. But there's still a lot of excess skin from when your tummy stretched. It depends how much weight you've gained during your pregnancy. You can exercise right away because you have to heal so for about a month it slowly tightens and goes down faster if you breastfeed. Otherwise after you're healed you can tone. You'll feel a little jiggly but it's worth it.
