@katie_kate91 . I'm glad I'm ok and alive !!! I'm doing better now tho !
@showard022: Do you have twins? &it wasn't a crash csection, it was an emergency csection. But to everyone else, Im glad to hear you and your bundles are well!! :-) A shame, we give life to these babies & they try to kill us!! :-) lol
I had an emergency csection with my first and was awake for it. Had preeclampsia but my bp was way too low to put me out. First and only csection so far. Third baby coming March 2015.
She not age... Sorry auto correct gets the best of me sometimes.. my whole post is messed up lol
Minimisty I'm so glad you are ok now!
Also, my friend had an emergency c section and age was put under anesthesia because the epidural didn't numb her and she could feel them cleaning her stomach.. and as soon as they touched her with they knife she freaked so they put her under.
With twins it was probably more of a crash csection then a emergency csection.
^ after they sowed me up after my csection they took me back to my room and I saw my baby for maybe 2 hrs if that before they noticed that I was bleeding out . I couldn't feel it cause I was still numb . They have me 3 bags of blood at the hospital I was at and that didn't stop the bleeding so they life flighted me out to a different hospital and they gave me 5 more bags of blood and the bleeding still didn't stop so they did surgery to get it to stop and I had tubs down my throat for 48 hrs and I was in the ICU for those 48 hrs and couldn't see my baby ): I was in the hospital for a total of 6 days and only seen my baby once outta those 6 days for maybe 2 more hrs till I got to leave the hospital . I almost died after having him .
my friend just had a baby 2 weeks ago and got knocked out because after te epidural she could still feel. babys hesrt dropped to a dangereous leval so they just knocked her out. in a emergency situation theyll knock u out if theyhave to. they dont have 30 minutes to sit around and wait if ur baby is in a dangereous position
Omg. That's horrible! ^were you able to see and hold your baby right away, or did you have to wait?
^ to the girl above me , that's what I just went thru with my baby I just had last month . I was bleeding out after my csection and had to get a 2nd surgery on top of my csection after they already closed me up to get the bleeding to stop and I had to have a blood transfusion . And spent 6 days in the hospital /:
I had a spinal tap for my emergency c-section.... My placenta detached and I was bleeding out non-stop.... I was at 8cm, but my daughter's heart rate started to drop....
Thank you for your responses, that makes sense now. Especially about the hellp syndrome, the high blood pressure, and the prolonged labor. Praying that if I have to get another csection, I will be able to be awake to witness my baby's birth! :-) Congrats moms!
Oh ok. I went from 3to10 before being checked. My daughter started coming out. I pushed her out. & bcuz my son was still transverse (side to side), they put me to sleep and went to get him. I see posts on here about emergency sections and the woman was awake. I just didn't understand how that was an emergency.. (Hopefully Im not offending anyone)
I had 2 and was never put to sleep. They just give u a spinal and u are fully awake
My mother was put under for my emergency csection. Just depends on the situation. Sometimes it's necessary other times it is, not.
I had an emergency one and I was awake for it all. I was in labor for almost 17 hours and my bp shot up and would not go down. They tried giving me an epidural 4 times and it would not go in my back. When I was taken into the or they tried 1 time to give me the numbing stuff and the needle went right in. I felt a little tugging and stuff but it was amazing to her my daughters first cry :) they only put you to sleep it they have no other choice. They told me they were only going to try 1 time to get it in my back or they were putting me to sleep because my bp was so high
Normally they only put you to sleep if you feel them cutting you or they had rush you back and you didn't have anything to numb you to begain with when you try having a baby natural .
I heard if your body doesn't take the spinal tap and you can still feel they have to put you to sleep
I just had my 2nd csection last month and I wasn't put to sleep for either of mine and my first was an emergency one and my 2nd one was a repeat . I was awake for both . First one was cause I didn't progress after being induced and had the epidural and my repeat one I had a spinal block . And had compaction a with my last pregnancy .
I had an emergency c section just 2 months ago and was not put to sleep I just got a spinal tap. I've never heard of being put to sleep for that
I had an emergency c-section and was not put to sleep. I had hellp syndrome. What was the reason for yours ?
