Heartbeat

I'm 17 weeks 3 days and today I went to the doctors to hear my baby's heartbeat . He counted 144 , it was really faint sounding. This is my second time hearing the heart beat the last time I heard it, I was 13 weeks and the beats were 160 and louder then today. What makes me worried is when I asked if the sound was the heart beats he didn't answer quick and had a worried look , but I'm sure I'm just being paranoid . What were your ladies baby's heartbeats at ?

I went Friday and it took the doctor a little while to find the heart beat and it had NE worried because he was checking my pulse to make sure it wasn't me but my baby's was 150 and he told me everything sounded good. Don't worry everything will be fine.

well sometimes i can hardly hear my babys heart beat because she moves around so much! my doctor even tells me she's moving so i can't really get a good heart beat but its there and its really good. at my last ultrasound the tech said my baby is very healthy and no problems. its ok to worry just not to much. i think you're just worrying and thats ok. i worry all the time still at 34 weeks. but if you're concerned call your doctor and ask them they have to tell you and i would bug them until they gave me an answer

I'm not to sure if it was moving around , I know he had the doppler and moved it a few times and took like 40 sec. To find it. And had to move it again ... Maybe I'm just being paranoid

It probably sound faint sounding because she was moving a lot and they can't really get a good sound if she's moving. Was she movinga lot?

No need to worry dear.  A fetus' hr varies throughout the pregnancy and that's completely normal.  Also,  the reason the dr probably hesitated before answering you is because he had to make sure he was really hearing the baby's heart and not the cord or some other blood vessel in you.  They all sound slightly different.

A heart bear of 130 to 160 is fine. My little girl sticks around 140ish. They say girls tend to have lower heartbeats so u may be having a girl!!!!

Did your doctor do the ultra sound or was it an ultra sound tech? Usually the ultrasound tech does mine and she tells me she can't tell me anything I have to wait for my doctor to tell me
