anxious and a little depressed :(

I'm getting induced tomorrow morning at 6. I know I should be happy but lately I've just been feeling very alone. My mom passed away a couple years ago and it makes me upset she won't be here to see her second granchild. I'm also worried my two year old son is going to hate me after I have his baby brother :(

Ahhh, honey.  First, let me say I am very sorry to hear about your mama.  I lost my mom years ago and it hurts to this day.  I felt the exact same way you do about not having her there for this important even that I know she'd love and I need her!  I also mourn the loss for my kids of their grandma.  It hurts.  It just really hurts.  I'm sorry and sending you hugs.

I also had another child and worried what I was doing to his life!  The day before I went in for my induction, I remember sitting him on my lap thinking "this is it!  Our last time of just you and me" and having tears in my eyes. I can tell you on that one, things dissipated quickly in terms of sadness and it gives me great joy to see my sons, BROTHERS, together.  they love each other and I think about life and my sister and how special that is . . .   so you are giving your son a great gift in a sibling.  This will be what he remembers---  having a sibling.  He won't remember anything different and it will be a good life with a little brother or sister to share life with.  Truly, this will be a wonderful thing for your son.

So, try to focus on the positives.  We get a chance to relive the mother/child relationship when we've lost a parent.  We relive it in reverse with our being the parent.  It's very special.  Your mom lives on through you hon.  Hang in there and good luck with the birth!  peace

Sorry to hear about your mother, she will be with you weather you know it or not she will be with you every step of the way. Be strong. As for your son, he won't hate you, he may get a little jealous but you have to find ways to even out your time with both of your kids and make them both happy. Everything will be okay. I'm on number two as well, but my daughter is younger so she doesn't quite understand.
