Did anyone else have sharp, stabbing pains right in the lower center of your belly (right at the bottom of your uterus, I would guess) at around 20wks? pains that rise in a crescendo and linger for a few minutes before abating? My sister-in-law is having these pains that stop her up short and cause her to curl up in pain and she keeps trying to brush them off as round ligament pain... She says they only happen when she moves so that HAS to be what they are, but the other night at dinner I watched her curl up in pain in the middle of taking a bite of something and I KNOW she wasn't moving...
she refuses to go be seen but I'm worried about her and starting to get irritated that she won't go... she's got several risks and possibilities of complications because of poor health, but she plans to wait this out until her next appointment...February 20-something!!!!!!!!!! Did anyone else have pains like this that were round ligament pains? I remember round ligament pain feeling like an electric shock or a stretching, almost sprain-like feeling that abated after a few seconds, not a stabbing pain that crescendos and stays around for a few minutes before abating... I'm worried about pre-term labor, or problems with her health and I just need some advice to give her from someone who's had this before. so if you had something like this and can tell me what to tell her to do I would be very grateful... I'm upset that she won't go. Her husband was asking me "is this normal???" in such an upset voice the other day because he's so worried!!!
