Red Discharge yesterday, brown today

I am 6wks, 3days, and last night I was having a really light, red, vaginal discharge. I had a small amount of cramping that was probably a 2-3 on the pain scale. Today, the discharge was brown in color, and I have no cramping. My first OB appt is in two days. Should I be worried and go to a prompt care? Should I just see if I keep having this discharge? Thanks

You can call and speak to the on call doctor to ease your mind but it if was very light it probably wasn't anything to be concerned about. Cramping is normal in early pregnancy as your uterus grows. If the bleeding picks back up and is bright red again or increases in amount or if your cramping gets you should be seen right away. Brown blood=old blood so hopefully it was just some cervical irritation that is now over with.
