In the first few days you go thru more nappies than usual. With the meconium and the poo changing due to the milk intake. My first I ended up getting hubby to just bring in a packet of disposables, what ever we didn't use was bought home anyway. The hospitals here are great, they give a recommended list of stuff to take into the hospital when you first fill in you admittance papers, usually about 8-5 weeks before you are due.
Nappy is a diaper in the uk and a dummy is a pacifier lol
Just another way to say diaper. Nappy is also a name brand of cloth diapers.
Im a ftm but wat is nappies/dummy?
ooops, and about four bibs and 3 burp cloths!
i just packed mine yesterday. i know hospitals are different but here is what i packed.
2sleepsuits
1 romper
1 going home outfit (jeans and jumper)
3hats
2sets of mittens
4vests
10nappies
10nappy bags
1pack of cotton pads (were advised not to use wipes straight away)
1 blanket
1 dummy
1cardigan.
i think thats all :-)
@shellylette thanks for the info i have so many outfits to choose frm will be packing bag later after my nap
I was totally unprepared when it came to my baby bag cuz I ended up with a csection last minute which meant I stayed longer. If you want your lil one in its own clothes rather than the hospitals I would pack atleast 5 outfits. I stayed in hospital 4 days and she only had one outfit!! Also three recieving blankets sounds bout right. The hospital provides blankets but I wanted my girl in something cute lol. I would bring your own wipes cuz my hospital had dry cloths that I had to wet to wipe her. Hats, mittens, and socks.
