I do not believe the baby has a placenta yet but rather just the yoke sac.
The placenta wouldnt be developed at this stage in the game.. It doesnt take over until 12 weeks (develops a bit sooner)...
it is really hard not to worry.. I hope everything works out for you. I wish i knew what the windy sound oculd be
lol....sorry i had to start my response that wya
i did the EXACT SAME THING.....i did it i think at 7 weeks (there is a post on here when i did it)....it was that looking for the placenta sound that would put me at peace that gave me a clue i might have more than one baby
i was surprised when i thought i was picking up hbs....i called my friend of twins and made her listen and sure enough im having twins
it all started with me looking for the sound of the placenta to give me some relief while i wait for my u/s
The placenta wont have developed yet I'm afraid, the yolk sac was there when I went for my 8w5d scan, think the placenta starts taking over around 10 or 11 weeks. I'm not sure about the windy noise as I get that too (makes me think of tumble weed in an old western!) The best thing to do is just relax. I picked up the heart beat really well at 11 weeks, so maybe try again in a couple of weeks and hopefully you'll pick it up!!
Good luck!
thanks all. im actually pretty relaxed about it believe it or not. i think just having a baby 8 months ago really took away the "omgosh what if i cant ever have a baby" feeling. cant wait for the 15th....
