I'm currently expecting my first child,19 weeks today.not sure what size of clothing to buy.been told most newborn clothes are too small,and advised to get 0-3 months.is this right?

My son was 9lbs at birth and went straight into 0-3 so I was glad I hadn't bought hardly any NB size stuff.

My daughter was in newborn for over a month as well so I was glad I had some. If she didnt need them I could sell them anyway (bought newborn clothes second hand from a friend).

Both my kids were in newborn over a month. They were 7 lbs 5 oz & 6 lbs 15 oz

I have mostly 0-3 month. I am measuring 4.5 cm larger than I should at 31+4, going in Friday to check his growth. My hubby was a big baby and is a tall man, so I'm expecting a big boy! Guessing newborn size won't fit him at all and 0-3 month won't last nearly as long as I hoped lol

My friend had her baby 2 weeks ago and she was almost 8 pound. She was in 00000 for three days. And is now in 0000 (four zeros is newborn size here)
So I'm going to get a mix of everything so I know I have everything just in case :)

Buy like 2 newborn outfits, the rest 0-3 months. When my oldest was born he didnt fit in newborn clothing he was measuring at 1-2 months at birth with his length. He's 5 almost 6 years old now and he looks like hes 7-8.  Im 21 weeks pregnant with my daughter is measuring at 1-2 weeks further a long than she is. Good luck with the little one!

I would buy a couple of newborn things but dont go crazy because they do grow out of that size pretty quickly.
