baby weight and conception date

Hi,
I read that measuring the baby off of an ultrasound is the most accurate way to tell the conception date. My girlfriend weighed about 5 pounds 7ounces when born, and i weighed 8 pounds 6 ounces. Since she was an under-weight baby, does that meen that our baby could be under-weight. Could that effect the accuracy of the conception date we are told when they measure the baby? Thank you.

thank you,
I guess what i'm trying to ask is when they measure the baby off of an ultra-sound, is there any way that the conception date given to us could be wrong?

I was born 5 pounds 6 oz, my son came out 7 pounds 10 oz. I don't remember what my husband said he weighed. Measuring the baby early is only to find out the gestational age, it won't tell you how big the baby will be when it's born.
