Same as my birth plan but most of the nurses that tended to me and my child didn't read my birth plan I had to make them
They have used sweet ease on my second baby many times it's used to calm them Down its nothing that harms them and having things done like a heel poke is normal for right after birth and at 24 he check. I'm sure they weren't intentionally testing anything or doing anything to harm your precious new baby , yes you will run into crabby nurses who are there for a paycheck but most love there jobs and hAve a passion for bringing these helpless tiny loveable miracles into the world. I'm going on baby #3 and I'm very strong on rooming in and no nursery and when they do the 24 he test me or my spouse are present not because of not trusting what they do but it's in our birth plan not to leave our babys side !
Yes I have heard of this. The sugar water, and giving breastfed babies bottles etc not about the pain med though!? Wth. That's y my babies never leave mine or my husband's sight or our room for any reason! If they need to do something like check vitals and exam they can do it in the room!
And on top of that they lied to me and told me it was sugar water
Im not paranoid !!! That natural ease is a baby pain medication... he did not need any pain medication!
Ive been researching all this stuff there all protecting eachother
It was called natural sweet ease
It was his pku heel poke but the sugar water solution they had gave him on his passy was all ready opened and used... the nurses were also giving me mean looks cuz I didnt want his hep B vaccine till his 2 weeks check up but now im not doing that either I dont trust what's in it... this happened in USA Oregon.
I looked it up and they don't give baby sugar water unless their blood sugar is low.
Wow what kind of test is this! ?
He was prolly allergic to it... but I don't think nurses are maliciously harming babies. Not saying you're lying at all, but you might be just paranoid
He's prolly allergic to watrver it is
Where did this happen? Was it right after birth or a follow up? Thanks for the advice!
What was the stuff they gave the baby?
