Almond oil?

With my son I didn't tear or need stitches and I firmly believe it's because the nurse kept me bathed in almond oil down there. Does anyone know if this is standard procedure or if I have to request this specifically? It's been 6 years since my son and a lot of things have changed.

I also found out you need to ask the hospital now for it during delivery! And if you want to do it the last few weeks most pharmacies carry it in the section with tea tree oil and witch hazel!

The skin around the opening,  I think its called a perineum massage or something? Nope, she just literally poured it alllll over me down there while I was contracting and pushing. But I know a lot of women swear by perineum massages the last few weeks to prep body for the big stretch. You can try Googling it on different techniques. I've never done them

Ohh, so just massage almond oil around your "hole" lol or all over the vag area? I'm really going to go buy some, the tear was the worst of my pregnancy and labor last time and I also didn't heal right. And she did this to you in the last weeks of pregnancy and also throgh your labor process?

Im not sure if other oils work =/ I just remember asking her what it was and she told me almond oil to prevent tearing and keep it well lubricated down there

Sorry ladies,  took a nap lol. All through my delivery she covered my lady bits with almond oil. Ive also heard to use it the last few weeks of pregnancy to moisturize and make it elasticy down there

Huh never heard if it either. I wonder if it would work with any oil, I'm allergic to almonds.

Ive never heard of this? Could you explain to me exactly what she did, sorry in just so terrified of ripping again and will do anything to prevent it!
