birthing ball/body ball

Has anyone used a birthing ball/body ball? How far along were you when you started and did it actually help?

They tried to get me to use one in l and d with my lil girl but i sat on it for 1 second and hated it! Of course i was 6 cms dialated at that point so nothing was fun!   I might borrow one a few weeks before i am due to see about speeding up the labouring at home before i head to the hospital this time.

I use mine. Mainly, when I'm having hip or joint pain. And it helps alot. Also with positioning the baby. My daughter was breech before I started using my ball, now since 20w she has been head down. I'm 28w plus a few days now. I hoping to use it during labor also.

I started using the birthing ball when I was 37 weeks I found it really helped with my back pain and after a few days I started experiencing a lot of dropping pains and I had my son at 40 weeks 1 day :) I would defo recommend one they are really good and really cheap!
