I experienced it in oct when i had a surgery on my left ovary. I got there at 8 am on an iv didnt have surgery til 4ish pm.. the pain wasnt improving so they decided to go in and clean / position it right since it was twisting and blood wasnt flowing. When i heart i needed the epi i cried and cried harder when there was a chance i could loose my baby. But my dr whom i met that night that will be delivery my son made me feel so confortable. They gave me a mask bent me over on the table.. and the person who came in to give me the needle massaged the area and i didnt even feel it. They layed me down and i couldnt feel my feet worked instantly. Id perfer that than being in pain. Have low pain tolerance. Cant even deal w my menstral cramps. Keep in mind hate needles but had a good experience.
I was, but my sister in law (who has 4 kids) said that your in so much pain from the contractions you don't even feel the needle
You should watch the business of being born on Netflix, it's really good and talks about epidurals and drugs during labor!
It's awesome!! I hate needles it was pain free wen I got it ..and made my l labor way easier ftm
I got it also and loved it because my water broke in the middle of he night and sleeping at night while pregnant never happens lol. I got to sleep 2 hours and woke up at a 10. I ended up gettin it at 8 cm and was bed ridden the whole time and on pitocin. This time I am shooting for natural again and will go from there. I am trying a different iv med if I want the edge taken off and if not will go wirh the epidural again. If you dont think about it and think of something else your fine or at least i was.
I have had it, some people do good with it. Some (me) I couldnt stop moving when they were doing it which can cause you problems if done wrong. It pinches and rly depends on your pain tolerance once done its not bad. Now personally ive been debating on getting it for my second one
Yes that totally freaks me out! That's why I get meds through the IV. It takes the edge off and makes contractions easier for me. My sister got the epidural and it only numbed her right side so she felt everything on the left. She regrets getting it. A lot of women have a good experience with it though. To each its own :)
Sorry if I miss spelled it. I didnt know how it was spelled
