worried (TMI)

I just had my baby a week ago. And i am noticing a really bad smell dwn there. I knw tmi even when i shower i still smell it. And its really annoying me. Is this normal or do i need to see a doctor?

it happened to me left behind placenta was the culprit of my icky smell have them take a look

Sounds like a piece of you're placenta got left behind. Definitely get to the doctors before a bad infection happens.

I agree with sorenr placenta left over can cause a big issue, better safe than sorry!

It is possible for pieces of the placenta to be left behind. I would get it checked in case you need treatment, more because you have a baby to deal with and the last thing you need is to end up ill, better to waste the docs time now than to end up really ill and suffering while trying to deal with a nrwborn too. Its probably nothing to panic about though.

Did u deliver the placenta? If its still in there or a piece it that could explain it. But if u did deliver the whole thing then yeah give it like a week and see if it goes away.

I had a smell that came with the bleeding after birth however you could easily have an infection. No one on here can tell you what yours is caused by so get to a doc asap for tests. Good luck and congrats!

Id just see how it goes for a week or so n if its still there then go.n see a doctor!
