Yes she should be able to for the fact that anxiety can affect the baby...most will do things like that...they went to med school so all obgyn are medical doctors to just talk to the doc. And as far as spirits I am with u on that so I will never judge anyone for beliefs.
I was put on kalotipins and that made me worse then i was put on zoloft and that only helped with depression not anxiety. i also have a constant need to take care of others that's why I'm addicted to this app i can help others all day on here, he helps with my anxiety and depression with out having to be "high" on pills i don't wanna be like that taking care of my baby.
your obgyn can refer you to a psychologist which your insurance should cover if its a referral and your ob stats it is necessary and they can write it for you..
My doctor wrote.me a note saying that I would benefit from a dog for anxiety...he wasn't an ob but yu should still try
You need to just ask your OB. I think they would call this a Emotional Support Animal which you can get certification for. You will probably have to pay for somebody else to write the letter...like a therapist since your issues are emotional/mental related and not pregnancy related. Good luck to you.
I suppose, you have nothing to lose by asking!
