My DH thought a vasectomy would impair his ability to "perform"  I had to explain the procedure and the fact that it does NOT render a man inable to ejaculate...it just prevents the sperm from mixing with the ejaculate.

Do guys EVER pay attention?

If you do not ovulate then you do not release an egg, if the egg is not released it is impossible for it to be fertilized.  No fertilized egg means no pregnancy.  I think DB needs a crash course in reproduction LOL :)

Like the others said...you're right. No ovulation = no baby. Ovulation is when the egg is released and waiting on his little swimmers.  And like spade said his swimmers can wait inside waiting for that egg.

If you don't ovulate an egg isn't realized so there is nothing to fertilize so pregnancy isn't possible.

It is possible to get pregnant if you have sex up to five days before you ovulate though.  Prehaps this is what he meant?
