It will not be implantation bleeding if you're already pregnant.

Implantation bleeding is when the embryo imbeds itself in the lining of the uterus. Implantation bleeding is not as common as people like to think it is. Only happens in about 20% of all pregnancies. And it's usually only a drop of blood.

As for the original question, it's common to have spotting in early pregnancy. Could just be shedding old blood. Could also be when you would be having your period if you hadn't gotten pregnant.

It's usually nothing serious, but if you're concerned, then definitely go see your doctor and get it checked out. Better to be safe then sorry.

Good luck and let us know how you make out

Please go to your doctor. I'm also 6 weeks along and started bleeding on the 23rd. I went to the doc, they took blood work and sent me home. On the 27 they finally called with results. They told me to come in right away for an ultra sound. The ultrasound showed I was pregnant with twins, but lost one. It could be anything please go to your doctor.

Could be implantation bleeding. I bled with my son when I was 6 weeks. Now I'm on my second pregnany and I look for it every time! Let your doc know of course ;)

I would definitely call your Dr in the morning if u still have it... Just to feel better about it. I am 5 wks now and have had some brown spotting here and there which I was told is perfectly normal.  However, I had a miscarriage a few months back and the first sign I had was a streak of blood when I wiped, which later turned to heavy bright red blood... So I would take it easy and check to be sure.
