cervix ??

has anyone checked there own cervix ? I'm so confused as to where it is I can feel the baby's head does that mean I'm in the cervix ? it's so hard to reach that far lol

I had my husband check mine..im too big to go all in lol..but yeah if ur baby has dropped u basically have to go in the down alittle and far back. It will feel like puckered lips or a donut hole n if u dilated ull be able to fit a finger or so in. Dont do it if ur water has broke because that can lead to bacteria..

I googled it and they said it feels like lips and how many fingers you can get in is how far you are mine is way back so it's kind of hard to get to but always wash your hands first lady's ! I also looked at a diagram online to get a better idea of what I was feeling for I'm still a little unsure hope this helps

How the f do you check it? Haha sometimes in the shower I go for a feel but get freaked out... deep detail on how to check and how to tell your soften would be amazing info! Im due in 4 days and getting angry lol..

I do it. I am really soft right now, but not dilated. I am 34w2d. I actually started checking my cervix daily when trying to conceive. I find it very impowering as a women to know how to do this.

they encourage you to learn how to check out yourself and they say to do it in the shower so your very clean but yes always wash your hands first

You shouldn't be checking it yourself. You can introduce bacteria to that area which isn't good. You should allow your doctor or midwife to do that only.
