check up

I'm 8 weeks along and I've not received my medicaid yet so I've not yet been to a doctor to have the baby looked at. Should I be terribly worried?

In the meantime,  make sure you're taking prenatals with dha and folic acid.

I remember reading on here that there is a place called Hope Woman's Center (I think that's the name). The woman said they are completely free and they will do a preg test and do your first ultrasound. Maybe you should Google it to see if it's available in your state.

Thats n PO t true natty if you get services before being covered you will be responsible for paying not medicaid. Wait to get your card if you havent seen one by 12 weeks then figure out what the next step is.

With my first I was 16 weeks when I found out and almost 18 when I saw the doctor and he came out perfectly fine. If your concerned call the insurance and see if they'll reimburse you if you pay out of pocket for your first check up.

I didnt get mine until i was 13wks. But when they called me for my interview they told me they pay up to 3 months of your bills. So i went in before i got it but they still paid for it i just had to pay the copay it was only $30. I would call them and see if you could so that.

Because of Obama, ob visits are free ..right?

Go to your doctor and tell them you applied for medicaid, the doctors office will bill you, but you can always just give the bill o your medicaid when it kicks in.

You need to see the doctor.  I'm 8 weeks as well, I've already had two ultrasouds and multiple blood tests and i got my prenatals.  So i wouldn't wait, a lot happens at this stage.

My medicaid didn't kick in until I was 15 weeks. Most doctors here will not see you until 15 weeks. So I wouldn't be too worried. You can always pay out of pocket for your first exam. First exams here are around $50.
