That is shocking. I would call them again, or your doctor and demand an ultrasound just to be sure. Like I said, those tests aren't 100% accurate so they can't say you're going to miscarry without either checking your hCG levels with a blood test or doing an ultrasound. If you've had a missed miscarriage before, then they would need to check all is well. Honestly - don't wait to miscarry with being checked to make sure that is what is going on.
I had a missed miscarriage last year too, my body took a good few weeks to miscarry. The epu said this morning that if the test shows no increase in hcg level then they can't do much so I just need to wait to miscarry.
Feel really down now, laying in bed watching Disney movies.lol. will carry on taking my prenatal vits just incase as have lots but am prepared for the worst.
Thank you for your help x
Those tests aren't the most accurate of tests. They're only 92-94% effective so don't go on that as much. Symptoms can come and go in early pregnancy and it be normal. Obviously a sudden loss in symptoms that don't return would maybe indicate a miscarriage.
What you need to do is to call them again and get an appointment for a scan. If they findings of that scan aren't good - as in they can't see what they should be seeing then it would look like a missed miscarriage and you would need to have the scan repeated in a weeks time to double check if anything has changed. I would get this scan booked asap so call them right away.
I've just gone through this and ended up with a d&C because the pregnancy stopped developing but my body didn't miscarry the baby. I had to go for weekly scans over a 3 week period whilst in between waiting to start miscarrying my baby. It was horrible and time went so slowly, so I would get in for the scan as soon as you can.
