RockRose is correct. My school had a day program and a night program. I did the night program because I worked full time as a medical assistant and there is no picking and choosing your schedule. My classes were on set days at set times and there was no options to change it, just had to make life work around it. For example I had lectures Tuesday and Thursday nights from 5-8, Wednesday was lecture/lab combo from 5-9:30 and the first two Fridays of every semester was lecture from 5-9, my clinical days were Saturday from 7am -7pm (even though we usually wouldn't get out until later).... It wasn't easy and I had no children at the time, but was planning a wedding and everyone thought I was crazy.
Have you been accepted into nursing school? IMHO, it's way too much to do already, without conceiving a new baby.
Nursing school is a full time job in and of itself, and the nursing schools I'm familiar with start you as a class and you don't take courses here and there and take a semester off. You go straight through with a specific curriculum and a specific set of fellow students.
I think it will be very difficult with just nursing school and a toddler.
