Seeing how some of the laws about pregnancy (abortion laws, maturnity leave, etc.) Vary by country, it makes me wonder which country in the world is the best overall. War and military laws, laws for pregnant women, gay rights, abortion, welfare, equality. I just started wondering about the laws in different places. I tried googling it but didnt really get the results i wanted. I was just interested to see if i get any interesting replies.

Canada sounds amazing. In Britain we have free healthcare, women are free to choose abortion until I believe 24w, you get 9 months paid maternity, but can take a year with the remaining 3 months unpaid, we have recently legalised gay marriage, the government gives housing and money to those in need, we are part of the EU so EU nationals are pretty much free to come and go as they please, can't think of anything else right now

America is definitely the worst for maternity, Canada sounds amazing I have always wanted to live there.

Canadians have free health care. We give choice to the people in regards to abortion. We have decent maternity leave (8 months I believe to a year). We support gay marriage. Government gives money to those who aren't working. We respect all religions and accommodate employees who need days of etc for religious reasons. We are not pro war, but go on peace keeping missions instead. I'm proud to live here.
