confused...! genetic testing

I got my results back 2day & they told me that my risk for having a baby with downs is 1 in 78 have any of u ladies had this b4 & how did it turn out..im just sad..:-(

Yes one was the blood & another was an ultrasound to measure the liquid behind babies neck.

if its the blood test then it is wrong 50% of the time. I didnt have any testing for genetic disorders done while i was pregnant just because the tests arent accurate at all.

Was it the blood test bc I was told by my ob that this test is wrong like 50% of the time and he actually encouraged me not to get it just for that reason, so if it did come back that my baby had a risk of downs I would not worry.
