They give you a time frame of 10 minutes I believe. (check the box to see what theirs says) Anything beyond that is inaccurate and should not be read.
You're not supposed to read them outside of the time limit. But just in case I would retest. I took a test with this pregnancy and threw it out after a couple minutes because it appeared negative. Next day I saw it again and it had a very faint positive. I freaked and bought another test and sure enough it was positive. Got my blood drawn the next day and my hcg level was at 42.
do not take that at a positive that is whats called an evaporation line a positive should come up in the time limit the test says I would take another one and check that. sorry to burst ur bubble i know if u want a baby that pos brought a smile
What test was it? I can tell you by the brand if it's an evap or a positive, not with 100% certainty but I've taken so many that I'm well aware of which ones give you readings after a long period of time. I've had it happen with two pregnancies, even this one Im pregnant with now. The tes was NEGATIVE I mean real negative, I held it in my hand and it took that sucker forever to change to a positive. It depends on the test.
Oh and to add to that I was 12 dpo and my HCG about 5 days later was 15,000!!!! So very high!! Again, just depends on the test!
