safe to pierce a newborns ears?

Iv always heard the sooner the better so they won't tugg/play with their  ears..

When is too soon? And do doctors do it? I would assume to take her to a store but I'm not exactly  sure..

You can't get a infants ears pierced till 3 months. They have to have there 2 month shots in order to get them done. And no doctors don't pierce them you have to take them somewhere where they do ear piercings.

It all depends some places won't do it until baby has had all its injections! But if you ring and ask they can tell you to save you going there :)

And yes, some pediatricians will do it, just depends on your doctor and that would be the best place if your doctor does.

I've also heard that in the United states it can't be any sooner than 3 months. I waited until my daughter wanted them done though (5 years old), and I'm so glad I did, bc she is sooo proud of them and loves to show them off, its adorable so I'm glad I didn't take that away from her. It was like her first big girl decision. :-) But it's your baby and your choice to get them done when you like of course, I just wanted to share my little girls experience. I've seen this question posted a few times though so fair warning, get ready for a huge debate on it. Lol

I couldn't get my daughter's ears pierced until after her two month shots.

The place that I took my daughter wouldn't do it any younger than 3 months. But my daughter was still young enough that she didn't pull them or anything. We had no problems at all. Some places if you ask or call head of time will do both ears at the same time.

I think like a month and a half is good to take her. And yes the store. I took my daughter at 11 months and she screamed her head off. But she never tugs and plays with them. Best of luck!
