I was induced with both my kids, first one was due to mild pre-eclampsia and the second due to being 42weeks and low fluid in the sac...I honestly know no other way add this is all I've experienced, but I survived it, the baby's survived it, I'm pregnant again...so it can't be that bad, right!? Lol
Im sure it will go just fine. Good luck!
I just hope it goes well.
I was induced with my first and it appears I might be with this one too. Its honestly not that bad. Yes pitocin has the reputation of making contractions worse than they would be if you were having them natually on their own but I made it thru them till I was 8cm dialated before I asked for the epidural. I went in at 7:30am that morning and had my son at 6:14pm the same day. So for me it was quick and not too horrible.
My experience was easy and not bad at all.
My due date was Sept 8, 2014 but my daughter was quite comfy so I got scheduled for induction on Sept 9. At 7:30am I was brought to the l&d room where they set up the monitors and everything. At 9:30 they started pitocin which didn't do much to help dilate me more I was already at 4cm. The contractions were more painful then i ended up being able to handle so i got the epidural. At noon the doc came in and broke my water which made me automatically go to 5cm. About 1:30 the doc came in and I was at 10cm but my daughter was still higher up than they wanted so they had me sit up so gravity would help with her coming down. At 210 the doc came back to check and decided I was ready! After 15mins of pushing my princess was born at 2:38pm weighing 7lbs 10.8oz and 20.5in long! I didn't tear at all this time but was definitely sore.
I'll be induced Sunday I'm just as nervous and every story I've heard terrifies me
