Period problems

Hi, I am sexually active however I am on the pill and my boyfriend always uses protection. The last time I had sex was 4 days before my period. My period came and it was light and first and then extremely heavy. It did not last the normal 7 days it usually does but about 4. When I started the pill this following Sunday I began spotting and it is still happening. Can anyone help me out ?

I've been on this pill for a whole however , the pill only gives you 21 days , so does the "just starting" rules still apply ?

If you just started the pill, that could be the reason why. When I started the pill awhile back it made my period last for 10 days and was heavy the whole time. I thought I was pregnant and miscarried or something. But yeah, usually starting BC can make your period whacko! If you are worried then take a test, if it ia negative and still worried get a blood test done at the DR's!(:

My little sister had that too along with pregnancy symptoms after she started the pill they told her it was just her body adjusting to the pill bc it wasn't used to it

If no, take one. If its positive then stop the birth control & call your doctor.  If its negative I would still call your doctor the birth control could be causing issues
