Advise... Please

Okay so people ask me what i plan on doing when i go into labor. Honestly i dont love far from the hospital, maybe a couple of blocks and im a first time mom so what i plan on is staying home for most of my labor because i heard it is a lot easier then being at the hospital right away!
The reason why i wanna be home for most of it was because i know if i go to the hospital im gonna want pain meds and im tryna avoid getting them.
Here at my hospital they dont do an epidural its a cheap verson they call the spinal tap and it messed up my sisters back pretty bad and id rather go through pain for a day then the rest of my life so thats why i have 7 weeks left and im 18 and i hope things go the way i want them to...

I did the same thing- labored at home as long as I could, then completely natural birth at the hospital. Its so much healthier for you and baby! My best advice would be to try to find a natural childbirth class. Mine helped so much with knowing exactly what to expect, how to deal with pain without drugs, and when to go to the hospital-you don't want to wait too long! Just stay calm, and focused on breathing through one contraction at a time. Stress and fear make the pain much worse, which is why preparing helps so much!

Get a support system that won't push you into getting meds the first time they see you in pain. I banned the word epidural from my birthing room. I think I would have breathed fire if someone had dared suggest it. You could do something similar! Staying home as long as possible sounds like a great idea. That's definitely what I'm doing this time.
