Ky is 6-12 weeks and most are 125+ a week
Here in washington state is 4 weeks at some most are 6 weeks
Most daycares accept babies by 6 weeks old. I also live in AL like MrsKeener but I'm near the Huntsville area which is a bigger city than the Gadsden area (I used to live between Anniston and Gadsden, though, and daycare was $90/week at the place used in that area). The bigger the city, the higher the daycare costs is a general rule. In Huntsville, the average cost for infant daycare is $170+ a week.
I've heard a lot of different prices for different cities in all the years I've been on this site and this subject has come up. I've seen ranges from less than $100/week to $250/week. There are also factors that come into play such as if you can get government aid to help pay for certain daycare centers. Normally though, once you apply for that aid, you'll need to expect to be on a waiting list of limited daycare centers that participate in those programs to get an opening for you. It could be a long wait.
The best thing you can do is call local daycare centers in your area and ask what their prices are, then make a list to do comparisons. Also ask if any of the centers accept government aid programs to help pay, as many national chains like Childcare Network, Inc and La Petite do.
6 weeks is the min age limit they can go but that also depends on the day care. The one my daughter will go to starts at 6 weeks but the one i work at doesnt take them till 9 months. We went ahead and reserved her spot when i was 2 months preg bc it fills up fast and i dont want her at any other day care not even the one i work at.
Here in Alabama there are some that accepts babies at 6 weeks. its about $100 week for daycare at that age
