My cousin recently had a baby who is a little over a month out (might I add with a dead beat dad) who talked her into have unprotected sex when she was having the 6 weeks of bleeding.  She says she feels pregnant again and is worried and would get an abortion.  Which is a very touchy subject for me and my boyfriend due to the fact our first pregnancy ended in miscarriage!  I was just wondering if you could get pregnant during that six weeks and any advice I could give her about the abortion (she is adopted so I just think it is crazy she wouldn't be willing to do that before having an abortion!) ANY ADVICE IS GOOD ADVICE

Joy~ on the saline thing... there's more than just causing seizures, It'll actually  BURN the baby. A friend of mine has a Prolife "Mothersagainstabortion" myspace page and she has pics.... its' really sad.

well that is what i told her she asked if i would disown her and i said of course i have my opinions but i believe they are personal choices.

ANY TIME you have sex, there is the possibility of pregnancy resulting... As far as abortion, well that's a personal choice and not one I necessarily agree with. That's all I can say about that. However, its HER choice, not yours. Good luck to your friend!

Yes, she can get pregnant. It is rare but it can happen.

If you want more information on what happens during an abortion (to the baby and to the mother) there are many websites out there. Some are more graphic and show pictures you may not want to see.

First, I am 100% prolife. But I want to tell you a little bit about abortion procedures. Knowledge is power. Scare tactics are unnecessary.

1). Suction- in early pregnancy the abortionist will use an abdominal ultrasound to guide a suction into the vagina. Prior to this the woman will have to be dilated so they will dilate her. It can take hours. They use *Cervadil or a similar product. They basically suction the baby out.

2). Saline injection- an injection of saline is given into the womb. It causes baby to seizure and die. They must then be birthed. This is often done after 10-12 weeks, perhaps even later.

3). Partial birth abortion- this is very graphic (DON'T READ if you can't handle it). Baby is partially birthed, breech. While their head is still in the vagina, the doctor will shove a sharp instrument (usually scissors) into the base of their skull and open it. They will then suction the baby's brain and deliver the rest of the body.


First, your cousin needs to find out if she's pregnant or not. Second, an abortion, sadly, is completely up to her. Informing her in a loving manner may give her second thoughts. Perhaps it won't. But you can always try.
