My dentist said as long as I had a note from an obgyn they'd do fillings. They wouldn't accept a note from my midwife though.

You can get any dental work done until you are in the third trimester. Once you are in the third trimester most dentists won't do any work, because they are afraid of preterm labor.

I Just Had A Crown Put On Today And A Root Canal Done Last Week. The Way My Dentist Explained It To Me, Is That It Is Better To Take Care Of The Problem Now Than To Risk Infection Later In Pregnancy. One Of My Top Left Molars Broke In Half, Then The Next Day The Filling Fell Out. My cavity In That Tooth Was All The Way To The Gum. I Am Almost 33 Weeks. They Knew Exactly What To Do And Use For Pregnancy. I Would Certainly Call Your Dentist And Your OB to See What They Tell You, But The Way I Understood It, It Is Perfectly Safe! Good Luck To You!
