Yes. I had a very complicated pregnancy and after my c-section delivery, my body got swelled up including my gums. I couldn't chew or talk because of that. I was given 4 days of glucose because I could eat nothing but water. Later I went to the orthodontics department and took consultation and took medications (antibiotics). Now its getting ok .
I got mine done & got an extraction where they had to pull it out. But you need a letter from your doctor first before making an appt with a dentiat. They need your doctor okay first
I had it the start of a root canal in my first trimester, they will not touch me now until the baby is out, the first trimester is the safest for dental after that it's tricky for several reasons, they don't like you to lay on your back for too long later in pregnancy so the dentist usually will not touch pregnant women that are beyond their first trimester
Really? Ima just get it done i also got the xray done i was terrified due to radiation. Thanks girls
Soon as I get back home im finding a dentist
When i was 30weeks they extracted 3 teeth all on the same day. Due to one bein abscess and other two cavitys. My midwife gave the okay and wrote me up a paper for my dentist of what he can cannot use.
I was told it is safe. However, I had a real issue. I went when about 7 months pregnant for a routine cleaning. Oh my gosh, I gagged so much they had to stop. They told me to use a mouth rinse plus good brushing/flossing until I had the baby. Then I could get back on schedule with my cleanings. good luck
It's safe when you're in your second trimester
I dont know if cavities and a deep cleaning are safe but I do know that you need to go to the dentist to get your teeth cleaned at least once due in your pregnancy
