Baptist don't baptize they baby. They say a prayer with the mama to give the baby back to god. And when the baby is ready they get baptized..
As far as I know we don't (I say we because I am Baptist) and I've never seen an infant baptized. I know its common for Catholics to baptize the infant. I say do what you want in terms of how you raise your child, after they get old enough its their choice anyways. We don't go to church because we haven't found one since we moved away from our home state, but I will find ways to bring my child to know God. My parents didn't actively take us to church it was mainly our grandparents that took us, and when we got older to take ourselves it was our choice. My older brother decided to become an atheist, 3 times, and as far as I know my younger siblings still go to church because they want to, not because they are forced.
Great mommy. I'm with you. He is real.
I said I wouldn't force it but she will know God and all the great things about him and stories from the bible that's how I was raised
Raise your child with beliefs in God. You're not forcing anything on him/her. If you don't teach the child about Christian standards or the word of God how will they know? If they choose not to believe later on that will be their decision but it's sad to see all the things people put stock in these days that is temporal yet won't instill God in them.
We won't force anything on her his aunt brung it up and had me really thinking about it lately she's barely even a month
I believe forcing your religion on a child is wrong. They should grow to make their own choice. I don't even believe in taking your kids to church.
Me and my fiance are in no way religious. We have no issue with people who believe in god or anything else but religion in general is what's wrong in the world to us. But if our children decide to be religious then that is their choice and I will respect it.
I say baptize him anyways doesn't matter what religion long as you both agree on it. I don't have a religion I just believe in god &I aIm still going to have my pumpkin baptized.
I didn't know baptists didn't baptise infants and he never said anything I would like her to choose for herself my mom let me and my brother do it that way
*christian... not christina..
Christina Baptists don't baptize the infant. Its a decision one makes to do when old enough to understand what it means to be baptized. You can raise the child in the church and if and when they wanna be baptized and accept Jesus as their Lord and saviour then thats when they'll be baptized. Thats how my church does it at least.
My parents let us choose to be baptized or not when we were old enough to decide for ourselves. :)
