She needs to tell her doctor because they take urine samples regularly and what do you think for, not only medical test but drug traces...my sister was slipped meth in her drink before she found out she was pregnant, she doesn't know how much or anything and didn't even know until her doctor told her...her son is fine but she was viewed as a user which is unfair because she's never taken any kind of drugs. I think honesty with your doctor will only help you. As long as you seek help and clear your system they won't take your baby.

If she were to stop now they wouldn't be able to tell I'm sure....but then again this is just the experience of a girl I know who was in the same situation...and I think it'd depend on where you live..

Don't keep something like that from your doctor. They are here to help you and baby not hurt you. It'll be bad if you don't and then they find out when baby is born.

If you have the addiction and know you won't be able to stop then you need to inform your provider. And begin methadone treatment as the withdrawal effects can kill your baby and do harm to your body. At least a controlled amount can help and dr can watch closely the affects. After baby is born unfortunately it will also be addicted but will be wiened off it in time. Good luck momma and take care
