High blood pressure? What should I do?

Last Monday I had a routine OB appointment but when they took my bp it was really high, about 152 then the second time it was 158. So the doctor sent me over to the hospital to see if it would lower and stay low and also for a 24 urine evaluation for preclampsia. My blood pressure kept going up and down and my urine results came back normal so they discharged me. My doctor said they'd keep a close eye on me but I don't have another appointment until next Thursday. Yesterday I felt a little not right but today it is so much worse. I can't get rest and everything I do it feels like it takes three times as much energy and I feel exhausted, my stomach is uneasy and some what of a dull headache. I just don't feel right all over. Should I go get my blood pressure checked or call my doctor? Is it just in my head? I'm not sure what to do....

Go to walmart or united and use their free machine, if it's high call your doctor.

I tried one already, I don't think they're accurate on me. I have large arms and they don't fit the cuffs, I tried on my forearm and one was 154 and another was 179 over something, I don't remember.

You probably need to be on bedrest.  If you lay down on your left side and hydrate that will usually bring your blood pressure down and u will feel better.  Also support hose or stockings will keep your blood pressure steadier.  The ups and downs of your blood pressure can make u feel really bad.  I would only get out of bed for showers and food.  If the rest doesn't improve how you feel u may need to be seen.  Good luck.

I dont want to worry you or scare you but just please dont stress yourself, I had good blood pressure thru out my entire pregnancy, never no issues but suddenly at 30 weeks I woke up peeing blood, went to my obgyn and blood pressure was still good and wasnt dialated at all. so my doc said I was fine and sent me to home, I had a gut feeling so I took my self to the hospital, by the time I got there my blood pressure was 197 and the placenta detached. I was diagnosed with preaclampsia and had to deliver my daughter as a stillborn. I hate my doctors so much for not showing enough concern. if u start swelling up go to the docs asap, high blood pressure and swelling feet is a combination of signs for preaclampsia. I would hate for u to go thru what I did. im genna pray for u and wish u the best, but dont let your doc tell u everythings fine if u dont feel right. god bless u girl.!
