All 5 of my nieces have had them done around 3 months & as soon as they're old enough are taught how to care for them. They have had no problems with taking them out or messing with them, I will probably get my baby girls done also.
I pierced my daughters at lk 5 mnths but she git keloids so I took them out and the pediatrician gave me ointment so they could go away if not I'd have to see a dermatologist but good thing the ointment did it sho ill just wait till she gets old and see how that goes
My daughter had them done at a year. Decided at 3 she didnt want them. So I took them out. And she hasn't had them in about 7 months. Wish I would have waited till she decided.
We got my daughters do e at five months old. She's 2 yrs 4m and had to go to the ER last week bc she took the earring off and shoved the back up her nose before I could reach her. So, needless to say, she's not getting them again until she's older.
I got my daughters done bout 3 months after her second birthday.. I know it hurt her but felt like her ears were still growing super fast at such a young age I didnt want them to be centered for 2 months then completely off.. Mine were done young and that's what happened with me..
She now loves her earrings and likes me changing them to different animals.. I left the ones she got them done in for 4 months or longer??
I had gotten my firsts done at 4 months and my niece whom I was raising ripped them out when my mom was babysitting while I was at school. :( i was super scared to do again but when she was 2 she asked for them do I took her and healed wonderfully and at 4 she asked for a second and so we took her. Lots of moms are like wtf why did u do that?! But she loves it she's six now and shows off her 4 earrings :) we are going to wait for our second to ask for them too. But I think 3 or 4 months is a good age
Piercing Pagoda in the mall uses a new gun each time, and Walmart!!
i had mine done i think at three months.i dont think they do them that young anymore? not sure tho. I've never had any issues. as for my baby sister she got hers done at 3 and it has become a problem. shes very sensitive and she cries when we tell her to turn them or try to clean them. better to do it either when they are extremely young or old enough to care for them.
I'm going to be getting my baby girl's ears pierced probably after her 2 month shots..I had mine done as a baby and never had a problem :)
ive never had mine infected and got them a lil after birth. im not doing them.at a piercing shop but at my pedtritician.
I plan on waiting until my daughter is old enough to understand how to properly take care of them herself and actually wants them. When I was 10 I had mine pierced for the first time at Claire's and they ended up infected. So I think waiting and going to a piercing shop would be better. Like ktowne, I would have a girls day and she can get them done.
I think the hospital can do it or of course the pedritician which he actually puts some type of special stud on earring so it doesnt get infected so its not at a random.public place. Idk when.to get my lil girls done, one of my family friends daughter is prolly a month and she already has them. :)
I know mine were pierced by the time I was 6 months.
I am go.na.do mine. My pediatritian does it at her office but not sure.how old she.has to be.

That was my debate over ear piercings, I posted a while ago about it.
You can do it after their 2 month shots my ped. said. my husband doesn't want to get our daughters done. I did a little research online and decided to wait too for a few reasons, you need to find a place that does it with single use guns, because the guns that are used in places like Claire's (in a mall) don't use single use guns, and they can't be sterilized. I also read if you get them done earlier their ear lobes might not grow at the same rate and they can become lopsided and some even get droopy to where you can pull a stud through the hole (I have a friend that can do this because she got hers done as a baby), and also because your daughter may get used to the earrings and not touch them, but as they start going to day care or school, other kids aren't used to them so they become curious and try to pull on them or grab them (I read that a LOT online!) I figured I'll wait til my daughter is a little older, maybe 5-6-7ish and see if she wants to do it for her birthday or do it for a girls day, go get our nails done and get her ears pierced you know? But coming from someone who had to wait til I was 12 before I was allowed to get my ears pierced, it's MUCH more frightening if you're older, haha. There's pros and cons both ways I guess, but I chose to wait.
I am, but idk when. There maybe a certain amount of time that you have to wait.
