6 weeks and bleeding

I am 6 weeks and 2 days and just started bleeding. At first it was spotting then it became more. It's dark red more brownish but I am concerned. I called my doctor but they are busy at the moment and I was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem & of its normal!!

Thanks,
Scared mommy to be

Ps. I bled until 11 weeks off and on with my first. Once the placenta finished making the required connections it stopped completely. So I know its more common then most women think it is.

That happened with my first two babies. Brown blood usually means old blood as my doctor said. Usually what's left from implantation bleeding and and from the placenta making the vascular connections. Which is very common at 6 weeks.  Its bright red heavy bleeding accompanied by cramps and a back ache that are more of a concern. Or at least that'd what I was told and my babies were both healthy at 8 and 10 pounds.
