extreme pain!!!

Hello all, I am about 6 weeks and 2 days pregnant and I tried going for a run tonight about two hours ago. I started and shortly after I started getting a very sharp stabbing pain coming from my lower abdomen. I am worried  that by running I may have hurt the baby. I know that exercise is good while pregnant but what isnt good to do? I am very concerned right now.

It's good to exercise how ever your body is already adjusted to. I had just started walking and jogging about a month before I got preggo so I stopped because I was afraid I wasn't in tbe habit long enough for it to not effect the pregnancy. Now i'm in my second trimester and walk once or twice a week. I also work 6 to 8 hour shifts without breaks. I'm on my feet all day and pretty active so i'm sure that accounts for something.

My OB said to take it easy with exercise until I got past the first trimester, but I'm not sure if she was being cautious because I was a little older (34). Either way, probably a good idea to listen to your body and rest for at least a couple of days.

Sounds like it could be round ligament pain. Mine is a sharp stabbing pain that will go away after a bit. Mine is brought on by quick sudden movements!  But if it doesn't go away I would get checked out

If you're used to running, then you should be able to keep running. If you haven't already had an ultrasound, you need one to make sure you can still exercise like normal.
