37 weeks pregnant

My daughter is 37 weeks and she was having contractions over two weeks ago they put her in the hospital to stop them. They still have not checked her to see if her cervix has softened or she is dilated they said they would not stop her now. She has been having some hard contractions, even some over a minute and longer than an hour. But now she is just cramping really bad which is what she was doing when they stopped her they were 3 minutes apart. Now she thinks her water may be leaking they told her to call back in an hour.  The hospital is a ways off so she is at work rather than waiting at home. What do you think?  She has also spotted off and on for the last week or so?

i believe that your daughter should be on bed rest it could that she haveing a miscarriega, cause my friend is going throw the same thing nd she only four months pregnant, the doctor told her to stay in bed with her legs up it helps, tell her to drink lots of water and keep taking her pregnancy pills and also if she having these pain she should be outside or having any stress it not go for her or the baby.it could also be that she have an infection that making her cervix softed....just tell to speak to her doctor if her doctor not helping go to the emergency room...

I'd tell her to go to the hospital and get checked. You said the hospital is "a ways off" so better safe than sorry if it's far away, don't want to be delivering a baby on the side of the road if she is in labor and goes fast.
